Farwell Party last night~

WoHooO~

A BIG THANK-YOU to those who made their way down to East Coast Park yesterday!! THANK YOU!!

BBQ Pit 44 is located at the far end. We had people started walking from Pit 17, 8 or maybe even 1!!! What a long and tiring journey… but still, you all made it! ^^

So, the list of people who went down is: Zhipeng, our pioneer batch director, Yueting, our pioneer batch deputy director, J2 seniors (except Sin Hang as he’s rushing a very important project currently), Merrick (J2), June, Connie, Gillian, Mellisa, Shihui, Jingwen, Engchen, Pingmay, Shengping and all the J1 excos! (30 people in total!)

I’m sorry if we were not a good host yesterday… The games might not be very useful in bonding but we hope that at least you are more familiar with the excos now. =) (so next time if you see them in school remember to wave HI~)

As usual, we took a lot of pictures yesterday!! :D Those who has the pictures, please send them to me at whereareyou@gmail.com or xyf7130@yahoo.com thanks!

Once again~ thank you for your participation and enthusiasm!!
For those who missed the farewell party yesterday, worry not~ the seniors have presents for you too!! And thanks for your contribution monetarily.

Invitation to participate in BJ Mission 2006

Capital 95.8FM, a station of Mediacorp Radio, will be hosting the first-ever competition for young aspiring broadcast journalists in schools and institutes island-wide. Students get a chance to better their understanding of the media industry as they vie to be the best-broadcast journalist on campus.

This would be a great opportunity for students to test their understanding of happenings around the world, and be a platform towards fulfilling ambitions and dreams.

The first-round auditions would be held on 19th and 20th August 2006.
20 contestants would go through to the semi-finals on 26th August 2006 and eventually 8 of the best would be in the grand finals on 9 September 2006.

A total of $7000 worth of prizes for both contestants and schools await you! Let the school spirit be fostered as students and teachers root for the school, and have the honour of being the first school to produce the first ever winner of BJ Mission!

The competition is most likely to let you involve in interviewing others. We are also not sure how it is exactly like as it’s not stated on the paper give to us.

Interested people can submit your name to me on Wed. Registration fee of $5 can be handed in at a later date.
We can send as many people to this competition as possible. So all are welcome to join!!

By the way, i.Nnovation is giving us a discount for their film festival movies. Normal price is 8 bucks, but CNNY only needs to pay $7 each for the show on 5 Aug. (This is because we have a close tie with i.Nnovaion!! heheh)I hope we can go as a whole CNNY!!! (that'll be so cool right?)

And J2 seniors, if you are interested in above events, please give me your names as well!! Thank you!! =)

Tribute to you guys...

Hey pple,

I really see that you guys put in alot of effort in our upcoming farewell. I really really appreciate what you guys have done. I am sure that we would have loads of fun at east coast next saturday. I understand that the j2 attendance is kind of disappointing. But, the rest who cannot make it have something on that day. Really sorry about that.

Anyway, I can see that you guys are working on real well. We are all really glad about it. Sometimes, it can be diffcult to put things up especially when you need support from people. Nevertheless, don't give up. i am sure even if not as many j2s turn up for farewell, you guys will still shine ok! last but not least, just wanna say jia you, i see many shining stars here in cnny. continue to do us proud. =D

Shopping Spree

WooHoo~ =D

what a tiring day!

Today, we went on a shopping trip for the farewell party next week.
Places we went: Carrefour @ Suntec, Zuosheng's home (to put those stuffs) and Bugis (and we met Ruoyi, Phyllis and their friend there!!).

hmmm... we also tried our best to keep a low budget..
Frankly speaking, we really, truly, tremendously hope that everyone can turn up for the farewell party as we have put in alot of effort in planning and organising...

but most importantly, we hope that through this event, we can bond all of us and the seniors together as one.

For those who cannot turn up, please bring 8 dollars and for those who can make it, please bring 13 bucks.. extras we shall lkeep as CCA fund so that next time we no need to collect from you all.. =)
thanks for your kind understanding...

will be back to update more on your groupings soon~

cya~

Sports Day

Taken on Sports Day by Photography Society

Pengxi the cameraman..

Desmond and Lewis..

Michelle reporting..

and we the excos in our CCA room!! =)

just some thoughts..

hey.. just leave some thoughts here to share with ya..
=)

I'm sure most of you have a CCA in your secondary school, right? =)
How did you feel when you leave?
Reluctant or glad?

I felt both.
Reluctant because that's where my 4 years of fond memories found.
I love my cca mates and we are like one big family...
We got scoldings together, strived together, laughed together, cried together, ...
most importantly, we moved forward together.
However, i felt glad at the same time because my juniors could undergo the same experiences that we'd gone through.
They would definitely grow up from there and feel the same way as we did.

Now, I understand that some of you still feel quite lost in CNNY.
We don't have a proper orientation or get-to-know-everyone session...
In fact, we don't know all of our seniors very well even after 6 months or less..

But worry not! We are not going to let this continue!
Come and join us on 29 July 06 for the J2 farewell party!
We have planned lots of exciting games for you!
All seniors (no matter you are from the first batch or this year's J2s) and J1s please make yourself free on that day!! ^^

Remember: to make CNNY more fun and "home-like", we need YOUR contribution too..

Recall the farewell party your juniors held for you last year..

your feelings for CNNY might be different, but let's make a memorable evening for our seniors...
this is also a good chance for bonding ..

I really hope that CNNY isn't going to be a CCA where you just appear once a week for the attendance..
I hope we can be another family of brothers and sisters...

Afterall, we are a part, not apart.

:))

here are the email addresses of our excos, please feel free to add us on MSN so that you can give us feedbacks as and when. thank you =)
